Cold Chisels
Manufactured to the highest safety standards, cold chisels are individually forged from high quality alloy steel. The alloy content in these makes them ideal for all types of metalworking and masonry applications and also increases wear resistance significantly. The precisely ground cutting edge is induction hardened (52 - 58 HRC) to give improved performance over longer periods of time.Hardness at the striking head is maintained to under of 42 HRC, so that the head will not splinter when subject to hammer blows.Shank is powder coated and the cutting edge is accurately ground.
These are available in the following types:
Octagonal Cold Chisels
They are used for general work on cutting and chipping of metals, and shaping, facing and cutting of stonework. The extra long chisels are useful for all cutting and shaping jobs where extra length is required. The larger size cold chisels are also available with strong impact proof polypropylene hand guards. These are designed to protect the user's hands from misplaced hammer blows.
Concrete Point Chisels
These are used for breaking up concrete floors, sidewalks etc. Channels in concrete floors should be marked out with a flat chisel before using the Concrete Point Chisel for stock removal.
Brick Bolsters
Bolsters are manufactured as a singe piece forging from high quality carbon steel, accurately hardened to BS 3066 specification. The cutting edge is hardened 52 - 58 HRC with the striking end maintained under 42 HRC.The complete Bolster is powder coated and the cutting edge is accurately ground. Each Bolster is permanently marked with safety warning message. Brick Bolster are also available with polypropylene hand guards. These hand guards are designed to protect the user's hands from misplaced hammer blows. Brick Bolsters are used for cutting brick, stone and paving slabs. These should not be used on concrete containing reinforcing bars.
