Overview
Bolsters are manufactured as a singe piece forging from high quality carbon steel, accurately hardened to BS 3066 specification.
The cutting edge is hardened 52 - 58 HRC with the striking end maintained under 42 HRC
The complete Bolster is powder coated and the cutting edge is accurately ground. Each Bolster is permanently marked with safety warning message.
Brick Bolster are also available with polypropylene hand guards. These hand guards are designed to protect the user's hands from misplaced hammer blows.
Brick Bolsters are used for cutting brick, stone and paving slabs. These should not be used on concrete containing reinforcing bars.
